| The
Strate Insurance Group, Inc. was founded in September,
1978 by Jack Strate, Tom Strate and Agnes Strate, and
operated by the name of Jack Strate, Agency, Inc. The
agency was created under the Independent Agency System to
offer the services of various property/casualty and
life/health/disability insurance companies. The agency
maintains membership in the local, state and national
associated of Independent Insurance Agents of America. In
1992, we purchased the George F. Smith Insurance Agency,
and on October 1, 1993, the agencies were merged and the
name was changed.
Since 1978, the agency
has grown into three departments: Personal Insurance,
Life-Health-Disability Insurance and Business Insurance. A
list of the insurance companies we represent is
included on this page. We do not represent any company
with less than A-BEST Rating. Representing financially
secure insurance companies is an important part of the
service we offer.
Through the years, we
have earned a reputation for professionalism by listening
and responding to the needs of our clients. We feel
strongly that it is our duty to ask the right questions in
order to help our clients address the risks
that are inherent to their operations. Sometimes insurance
is the right solution, and sometimes other risk techniques
are implemented. It is very important that our clients
address their risks in advance of an undesirable
situation.
When insurance is the
right solution, we do our best to provide the appropriate
coverage, with financially secure insurance companies, at
a fair premium. We also recognize that price is not always
the most important consideration, for this reason our
emphasis is on service. Service is many things, such as
simple courtesy, returning phone calls promptly, being
attentive to special needs, paying claims promptly, but we
feel that because of the “mystery of insurance",
communication is the most important....communication in a
clear, regular and face-to-face manner. We want to be
involved in our client’s risk management program.
To provide this type of service our staff must have the
ability to back up every account. We experience virtually
no employee turnover. Our employees have an average of
over 23 years experience in the insurance business. This
offers our clients the assurance that their questions and
concerns will be answered promptly and correctly.
In summary, we know that
with good service, appropriate advice, and financially
stable insurance companies, we are building a good
business, and providing a valuable service to our clients.
