Andy Smith joined Strate Insurance Group, Inc. in April 2018 as a Financial Services Trusted Advisor. He comes with a wealth of experience in the financial industry, having spent 44 years in banking. Smith will be providing life insurance and long-term care insurance options to clients in his role at Strate Insurance Group.
Smith was the President & Chief Executive Officer at Jefferson Federal Bank, where he spent most of his career. He currently serves on the Industrial Development Board of The City of Morristown, is President of the Jefferson Federal Charitable Foundation, and serves on the Walters State Foundation Board of Trustees.
April Parrigin joined Strate Insurance Group, Inc. in October 2017. Prior to joining the Strate Team, she worked with worldwide insurance brokers, Brown & Brown and Willis.
With more than 35 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, April is responsible for establishing relationships, providing risk evaluation, marketing and daily services to her clients.
April is originally from Eastern Kentucky, graduated from Belfry High School, and attended Southern WV Community College. April enjoys traveling and resides in Bean Station, enjoying the rural, country lifestyle.
Bethany McFall joined the family insurance team in March 2014 as a Family Insurance service associate and in 2017 transferred to the Business Insurance team. She obtained an Associate of Science in Business from Walters State Community College and is currently working towards completing her Bachelor’s Degree at Tusculum University. She is licensed for both Life Insurance and Property & Casualty Insurance, Bethany also holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation as well as an Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation.
Brandi Lane joined the Family insurance team in 2012. Brandi is passionate about Family insurance and the importance of providing knowledgeable advice to our Family insurance customers. She has earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Personal Lines Coverage Specialist (PLCS) designations. She received her Property and Casualty license in 2010.

Cathy King joined Strate Insurance Group in March 2013. Cathy has extensive experience and knowledge in the Business insurance industry. She began her insurance career in 1976 as a receptionist and within three years became an office manager. Through continuing professional education, Cathy has earned the highly respected designations of CPCU, ARM, CIC, AAI, and CPIW.
Christine Gosser joined Strate Insurance Group as an Employee Benefits Service Associate in March 2015. Christine provides assistance to our clients using a variety of group health, life, and retirement products. Christine holds a TN Life & Health license and has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources since 2007. Christine is a member of the Tennessee Valley Human Resources Association.
Danielle Kinder joined Strate Insurance Group in May 2014 as Director of First Impressions. Danielle has eight years of customer service experience prior to joining us. Danielle received her associate’s degree from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.
Debra Robinson joined Strate Insurance Group in October 1998. Prior to that, she worked for Travelers and other insurance companies as a claims adjuster. As Claims Manager, she is responsible for all aspects of the property and casualty claims process including assisting clients with loss control and risk management reports. She holds an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation, Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional (CWCP) designation, and a Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist (CWCS) designation.
Gloria Watson-Sanders joined Strate Insurance Group, Inc. in September 2017 as Director of First Impressions. She is responsible for the daily operations of the facility, customer relations, advertising, and is the assistant to the President and Vice President of Operations.
Gloria grew up in Roseville, California, and is a graduate from Tusculum College in Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She has prior property insurance claims adjusting experience. She resides in Rutledge with her husband Montie. Combined they have five children with spouses and eight grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, a variety of outdoor activities, and a love for cooking.
Jean Willson joined our business insurance team in March 2013 as a Business Insurance service associate. Jean earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation prior to joining Strate Insurance Group, and earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2017. Her strong education and prior insurance experience serves our customers well.
Kellie Collins joined our business insurance team in March 2013. She has worked in the insurance industry since 2002, she has gained the experience and skill needed to service business insurance customers successfully. She has received the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.
Pamela Cripe joined Strate Insurance Group in May 2011, as Director of First Impressions. In 2014 she transferred to the Family Insurance Department. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Maryville College. She received her Property and Casualty license in June 2012 and her Life, Accident and Health license in June 2013. She holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.
Ralph Sitterson is Vice President of Keystone Insurers Group Claims Management Division. Ralph joined Keystone in 2008, bringing with him 27 years of insurance claims settlement experience. Ralph provides claims consultation and management to Strate Insurance Group and more than 230 Keystone partner agencies in more than 10 states. He is responsible for enhancing communication with our core carriers using a collaborative approach. He is the claim advocate for Keystone partners, core carriers, and the policyholders. He assists Keystone partners with subrogation issues and opportunities, interpretation and resolution of coverage issues and questions.
Rebecca Leach joined our business insurance team in November 2015. She initially embarked on her insurance career as a commercial lines underwriter at Cincinnati Insurance Company in 2014. Rebecca graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Rebecca is responsible for Life Science accounts, including Dentists, Optometrists, Veterinarians, Nursing homes, Home Care agencies, and related accounts.
Sherry Price is a benefits specialist in the employee benefits services department. She has been employed with Strate Insurance Group since May 2007. She brings to the department a background in banking and accounting. She received the Tennessee Life and Health Licenses in October 2007.
Tammy McDaniel, CIC, CISR, CWCA, CRM is Vice President of Operations of Strate Insurance Group and has been an employee since March 2001. Tammy is responsible for all business operations, including IT, HR, marketing, and many other daily needs. Tammy is also a key client executive for a select group of customers.
Tom Strate, CIC, CRM, CWCA is President of Strate Insurance Group, Inc. He spends the majority of his professional time working with manufacturing accounts. His clients include companies with operations in Germany, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. Tom’s extensive experience and customer advocacy is the hallmark of Strate Insurance Group’s service standard. His risk management approach distinguishes Strate Insurance Group from the average insurance agency trying to sell insurance. Often times we help our customers by the least amount of insurance possible.
Tom graduated from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a major in Insurance and Risk Management. He achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation in 1983, the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) Designation in 2005, and the Certified Workers Compensation Advisor (CWCA) designation in 2012.
